Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading supplier of Fast Moving Consumer Goods quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The company is looking to employ a Medical Doctor for its various factories.
Job description
To provide adequate and expert medical services for all employees whilst at work in order to enhance high productivity and achieve company’s desired goals with minimum loss of production time.
Initiates the procurement of all drugs and medicaments, tools and medical equipment needed in the Staff Clinics and ensures supply made by reputable Pharmaceutical organizations

Responsibilities
Controls drug issuance and checks the drugs ledgers on regular basis to ascertain adequate stock is maintained
Liaises with specialist medical institutions where difficult cases are referred to ensure that proper and adequate attention are paid to company staff.
Co-ordinates and controls the daily running of the Staff clinics in the factories and head-office and ensures that expert medical treatment is given to staff promptly with minimum loss of production time.
Liaises with specialist medical institutions where difficult cases are referred to ensure that proper and adequate attention are paid to company staff.
Executes all necessary pre-employment medical examinations; carries out routine and occasional medical check-ups on staff
Ensures that proper medical administrative records are maintained in the Staff Clinics and or electronic medical recording system.
Prepares and submits monthly medical report to management
Liaises with external Health Providers/retained hospitals who provides adequate, cost effective, and quality healthcare for employees and their families
Monitor medical bills from the external Health providers/ retainer hospitals ensuring that they are competitive with what obtains in our environment without compromise to the standard and quality of healthcare provided
Organizes occupational health services lectures/seminars and periodic health screening for various occupational groups e.g. food-handlers, drivers, Hygiene and housekeepers.
Organize safety precaution and accident prevention lectures/seminars in the factory. Advise management on safety and accident causes and prevention in the factory. Advice management on occupational health matters. Make recommendations on Regulations affecting industrial health/hygiene and safety in the workplace.
Liaise with Health Management Organisation to ensure that medical care provided to our employees and their family are standard and prompt.
Organize monthly conflict resolution meeting, tripartite meeting between staff representative, HMO representatives and the company.
Maintain the factory’s commitment to the prevention of environmental pollution via the provision of resources and materials in line with the departmental impact and aspects.
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of a Bachelor of Medicine / Surgery
Must be a General Practitioner
Minimum of 5years with similar experience in a Manufacturing company.
Rigorous and in a continuous personal & professional improvement process
Interpersonal skills
Good communication skills – Oral & Written
Good organisational and planning skills
Result-oriented
