Job description: You will be reporting directly to the Technical Head Sales and be responsible for selling high-quality Siemens products to Products to Power/ Energy customers in the Nigerian market.
Position : 1. Senior Engineer - Sales Business Development
Responsibilities:-
- Strategic identification and realization of sales prospects and leads.
- Contract preparation, pricing and negotiation
- Customer relationship management
- Design and management of medium to large scale electrical projects.
- Definition and implementation of appropriate sales and marketing strategy
- Design and update of industry business model.
- Proactive analysis of energy distribution market.
- Bachelors degree from accredited university in Electrical/ Electronics engineering.
- A relevant masters degree or its equivalent in a related field of study.
- Registration with NSE and/ or COREN
- Project Management certification.
- Minimum of 8 years sales and marketing experience.
- Experience handing switch gears, transformers and protection relays - familiarity with Siemens products a bonus
- Experience in project management/ execution of major electrical construction projects
- Previous experience working for an OEM or utilities company considered a bonus.
- Deep knowledge of Nigerian power sector, market participants and trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office desktop applications, AutoCAD and Electrical Design software.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Business modeling and strategy definition.
- Business planning knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing proposals, quotations and sales contracts.
- Presenting and selling company products and services to customers.
- Proactively updating knowledge of market trends and industry.
- Maintaining accurate sales and customer database.
- Participating actively in marketing events such as conferences,exhibitions, etc.
- Training of customers on various products.
- Regular follow-up sales activities.
- First degree from accredited university in Electrical/ Electronics engineering.
- A relevant masters degree or its equivalent in a related field of study.
- Registration with NSE and/ or COREN a bonus
- Minimum of 5 years in electrical industry.
- Extensive sales and marketing experience.
- Experience in selling electric power equipment - familiarity with Siemens products a bonus
- Previous experience working for an OEM or utilities company considered a bonus.
- Proficiency in MS Office desktop applications, AutoCAD and Electrical Design software.
- Experience interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong Organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
- Team player with customer service focus
- Flexibility/adaptability - willing to travel at short notice
